As a Certified Public Accountant in Long Island, NY, I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I entered the accounting field in college because I firmly believed it was the right fit for me. This was back in February 1969! After working for almost ten years, I decided to start an accounting business to offer clients a more professional and responsive service than my former employers.
The business was officially launched by a few others and me in August 1978. Before 1969, I was in the family sewing machine business for six years.
There have been quite a few changes since we’ve started our accounting practice. Today, things are much more automated as we have computers to accelerate and simplify various tasks. Also, accounting and tax laws are now more complicated, clients are more mature, and the environment for employees has improved considerably.
As a small business, what has sustained us the most over the past four decades has been our business philosophy and values. We believe in providing personalized and professional services at the most affordable rate possible. Our long-term employees feel the same!
We are particularly proud of our team of loyal employees who are committed to satisfying our clients’ needs. They can professionally handle our clients’ accounting and tax problems, make quick decisions, and react to our clients’ needs without red tape. Ultimately, we attribute our success to our team of hardworking and committed employees.
As a business owner, seeing the business grow and reach new heights of success has been extremely rewarding. But the most enjoyable part of owning this business has been interacting with clients. However, business ownership has its share of positives and negatives.
When I’m not assisting clients, I spend most of my time with my family, especially my children, grandchildren, and dog. I also love traveling in Europe and the USA. Back in my day, I would regularly fly, boat, golf, and motorcycle.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way we do business.
